Victoria Falls is the “icing on the cake” to complete our unforgettable adventure across four african countries

2016 – Our amazing 16 days from Cape Town to Victoria Falls through South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe

After riding our bikes for more than 5000kms through the amazing variety of scenery that Africa offers, we arrived at our final destination – Victoria Falls. With the spectacular view over the Zambezi river, Victoria Falls, one of the natural wonders of the world, are the most stunning, majestic waterfalls that can be seen from both Zimbabwe and Zambia on the African Continent.

The group of adventurers that we travelled with on this journey through Africa, have had the privilege of living a unique experience through the continent where human civilisation began, seeing and enjoying the wonders of African nature at first hand, majestic animals in their natural habitats and fabulous scenery, impossible for many to put into words. From landing at Cape Town’s International airport until our final destination at Victoria Falls, the group has shared 16 intense days of discovery and adventure. Travelling along dusty, rough roads, frequently not passing another vehicle for many miles; seeing elephants and hippos bathing in the mud; watching families of warthogs in the grounds of our hotel; enjoying amazing African sunsets or awakening to the sound of antelopes calling nearby – these are just a few of the marvellous experiences we have shared with MotoAventures.

Victoria falls: Farewell to paradise and the south african motorcyle tour

The spectacular views of Victoria Falls cannot be fully enjoyed in one day, so an extra night at Victoria Falls is the only option. With this in mind, we spent the last night of our expedition in a lovely African lodge close to the Falls, with rooms looking out over the grounds and enjoyed a wonderful group meal on their terrace discussing all our adventures, while enjoying the sight of warthogs, giraffe and even elephant and hippo meandering through the gardens below. The clouds of spray from the Falls can be seen in the distance.
