We were picked up at Barcelona airport by a very comfortable private shuttle bus, then driven a couple of hours through stunning scenery to our destination in Andorra.
Wow… what an experience!
A fabulous lodge-style hotel up in the mountains. Then that very evening we were met by Su, who came to have a drink and welcomed us at the hotel. She went through our exciting itinerary and gave us some really helpful local information. The location, service and food at the hotel was amazing. The next morning we met ‘Johnny Maroc’ and were shown the KTMs!
Riding around the Andorran countryside crossing fords and ascending mountains
As an off-road novice, Johnny took things pretty slow to start with and was really patient with me whilst I got used to the bike and the terrain. We then spent three whole days riding around the Andorran countryside crossing fords and ascending mountains. Johnny was kind enough to bring his drone and took some areal footage of me riding around the awe-inspiring countryside. By the third day, with the help of Johnny’s expert tuition, we climbed to the summit of the spectacular Pic Negre at 2.643m.
Local delicacies in mountain refuges
When not biking, we made the most of the amazing outdoors, hiking and scrambling around the Ordino hills and discovering breathtaking views, feasting on local delicacies in mountain refuges and even celebrating fireworks night Andorra-style! The final evening we were fortunate enough to have a meal with Su and Johnny at a local Andorran restaurant in Ordino village, and to top it all off, Johnny had edited a video capturing the three days of stunning views and my dodgy riding!!!
Thanks for a great trip. We can’t recommend you highly enough.
