SOME OF OUR SUPPORT VEHICLES over the years

From a Land Rover Rapier Tractor, a 110, several 130s they were always called “The Pig”. In addition, we had several Toyota Land Cruiser 80s, and our beautiful camper/support vehicle Land Cruiser 79. Now we are using Fiat Fullbacks which have proved exceptionally versatile for the different terrains we cover.

Our first ever support vehicle, when we started in Andorra, was a red Toyota 40.

Since then, we have had a Land Rover Rapier Tractor; a 110; several 130s which were always called “The Pig”; our Unimog Rosy for fast support on our Dakar tours; two Toyota Land Cruiser 80s, and our beautiful camper/support vehicle Land Cruiser 79.

Now we are using Fiat Fullbacks which have proved exceptionally versatile for the different terrains we cover, and we have even made a removable small camper body which is ideal for when we’re out discovering new routes.

Priceless models of our many Land Rover support vehicles nicknamed “The Pig.”

Made during the years by a young chap in Zagora. At the age of 8 he found himself breadwinner for his family of 6 + mother, and he built up a cottage industry making model bicycles and copying Dakar vehicles and our Pigs. He would make them overnight and turn up in the morning at our hotel for us and clients to buy.
