Tour introduction
This tour is aimed at riders who want more of an equal mixture of rocky, mountain trails, sand and dunes, but still the chance to conquer
Morocco’s highest dunes 205m, at Erg Chebbi.
A combination of fast tracks across vast dried lake beds, sandy river beds and trails, muddy rivers sometimes flowing, the spectacular
mountain range of Jebel Saghro with its austere, lunatic landscapes and its own “Monument valley”.
Johnny Maroc will be motorbike guide, cruising up and down the group and helping when needed. A Sideburn rep to help you with any issues will also be biking in the group.
You will experience
- Fast ex-Dakar tracks across vast dried lake beds
- Sandy riverbeds and trails
- Rocky tracks up through the gorges and southern foothills of the High Atlas Mountains
- Virgin desert sand to the famous Cathedral Dunes at Erg Chebbi (the highest in Morocco at 203m!)
- Jebel Sahro - "Monument Valley" considered some of the most beautiful mountains in Morocco
- A night out under the stars at our desert bivouac with campfire and local musicians – 90km from nearest road!
- Excellent accommodation.

Sideburn Sahara Open tour 2020
This was one of the best adventures of my life. Morocco is stunningly beautiful. The people are so warm and welcoming. Seeing the desert while on dirt bikes is the best experience.
