Mini mountain & desert | 6 day - 4 days biking

Day 1
Arrival day
You will arrive at Ouarzazarte airport and a short transfer to our 4* Riad style hotel, or by minibus road transfer organized from Marrakech.
Your bike awaits your arrival.

Day 2
Ouarzazate to N'Kob
(approx. 230km)
A very pleasant days biking giving you time to get accustomed to your bike and the terrain. After breakfast and about 6kms on road, we take off into the countryside heading west on a sweeping trail prepared for asphalt but not yet covered with the black stuff. Its then off road proper, predominantly hard packed soil interspersed with some short rocky sections, river crossings and small villages. There are some long sections of undulating trail, twisting through the hills with not a rock in sight.
After 100 km we turn south-eastwards after our picnic lunch, which is taken somewhere on the trail, and wind our way down through the Anti Atlas Mountains to the town of Agdz. A quick refuelling and coffee stop then its 30 KMS off-road again through the palmaraie hugging the river Draa before we hit the asphalt.
Here we head due east for 22 km on road stopping at our nights’ accommodation in the village of N’Kob. Tonight we will be staying in a 200 year+ old converted Kasbah.

Day 3
N'Kob to desert bivouac
(approx. 205km)
After breakfast we head south from the hotel towards our destination for the night – the desert jaima. Super-fast twisting tracks and riverbeds that eventually lead us onto the enormous dry lakebed of Lac Maider and to a small Auberge where we stop for a drink.
From here we bike through fesh fesh (bulldust) and wind our way through sandy, dry riverbeds to where we refill at Remlia.
The final 20kms through dunes to our night’s stop at the desert bivouac with hot showers.
Situated close to a large area of middle-sized dunes, in the late afternoon/early evening, once the sand has cooled down, we will all grab a beer and bike to the top of the dunes to watch the sunset.
Dinner in the jaima and then we all sit around a campfire with local musicians playing for us.

Day 4
desert bivouac to Dades
(approx. 170kms)

Day 5
Dades to Ouarzazate
(approx. 190kms)
After breakfast refuel and then up the Dades Gorge and off in an easterly direction following the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. Undulating, fast sections interspersed with rocky trails through major washouts and gullies, bringing us out onto a plateau. Picnic lunch somewhere up on the plateau.
Several river crossings followed by trails winding their way down into beautiful river gorges before the final 20kms of fast tracks across a flat plateau bring us back to Ouarzazarte.
After dropping the bikes at our garage and checking them over together with our mechanic Hussein for damages it’s time to hit the bar and have a well-deserved drink and remember all the adventures we’ve had.

Day 6
DEPARTURE DAY
Breakfast together and then everyone transferred to wherever they are flying from.
Hope to see you again soon.
