Ross Nobel came along as a fantastic surprise for our riders.
17 days biking on mainly gravel from Cape Town, South Africa, through Namibia and into Zambia to “The Smoke that Thunders” as the Falls are called by the locals.
During the next 5 years every August & September, this partnership guided many riders and their partners across different countries in this part of Africa – South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Namibia, Mozambique and the small mountain Kingdom of Lesotho.
Many adventures were had together until in 2015 we parted company to further other individual projects.
John & I continued until we ended our MA touring adventures in this part of the African continent. We closed on a big high with 2 trips. In September 2019 we took a group of 19 riders and friends on a fantastic adventure, seeing the most wild animals we had ever seen, on our tour ‘The Warm Heart of Africa‘ – starting and ending in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, visiting Botswana, Mozambique, Malawi and Zambia. Then in January 2020 another group to Lesotho to bike the many gravel mountain passes and off-road tracks and the amazing new asphalt roads winding through the mountains, experiencing eight border crossings in/out of South Africa.
Both were trips of a lifetime for everyone who joined us.
We’re not stopping though – we’ve just finished organising our return tours to Morocco on GS1250 for Dual Sport adventure biking experiences, starting and ending in Marrakech, and we hope you will join us!
